You don’t have to purchase training to take a BPI Certification Exam. The two most common reasons for BPI certification exam proctoring without preparatory training are for BPI certified techs who wish to recertify, or for new candidates who wish to challenge the exams.
The Building Performance Institute requires all certified techs to retake their certification exams every three years. Sometimes people who have industry experience don’t need or want training to prepare for their Building Performance Institute (BPI) Certification Exams. That’s now problem; BPI allows candidates seeking certification to challenge the exams.
The Energy Conservation Training Company has a dedicated test house in Southeast Portland, Oregon. So, it’s very easy for us to proctor both written and field exams for certified techs looking to get recertified or for candidates who wish to challenge the exams.
